I'm Jordan Tatum, a Computer Game Design major with a minor in Animation at George Mason University.
I am currently the Art Director for the Game Analysis Design Interest Group (GADIG), a student organization that creates a new game every semester. Through my work as an artist and art director, I have developed a strong interest in technical art and the ways that art and technology can work together.
From my experience as Art Director, I’ve created art pipelines for 2D and 3D games and have collaborated closely with programmers to support the implementation of art. Through this, I’ve seen how programming and supplement art through shaders, visual effects, and developing tools make things easier for artists. I enjoy finding solutions that make art more effective and flexible. I am particularly interested in technical art because the intersection of art and programming allows me to support both disciplines and bridge the gap between them.
